Digital Futures Accelerator
Inspiring the Next Generation of Digital Talent
The Digital Futures Accelerator is a dynamic, award-winning schools programme designed to ignite interest in digital careers and build future-ready skills among young people across East Sussex. Delivered by TechNative in partnership with Skills East Sussex and the Careers & Enterprise Company, this initiative brings together students, teachers, and industry mentors to co-create impactful digital products.
Over the course of six months, school and college teams form ideas, develop low-code or no-code prototypes, and pitch their solutions to a panel of industry experts at a high-profile showcase event. Along the way, students gain hands-on experience in digital product design, teamwork, business planning, and creative communications.
From sketching ideas to building prototypes and planning promotional videos, the programme gives learners real-world insight into tech careers while strengthening links between education and industry.

Research Impact
Creative and Digital Skills Lead, Sussex Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP)
Since November 2022, TechNative Founder Dan Wallman has served as the Creative and Digital Skills Lead for the Sussex Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP). In this role, Dan has led a series of in-depth research projects to better align local skills provision with the needs of industry.
These include sector Deep Dive reports into the Creative and Cultural, and Digital sectors, with findings based on extensive engagement with over 100 local employers. In addition, Dan has authored strategic reports on supporting neurodivergent talent in the workplace and on recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce, helping shape inclusive skills strategies across Sussex.
This work contributes directly to the LSIP's vision of an employer-led skills system that reflects the region's economic priorities and talent development needs.

Tech Jumpstart
Tech Jumpstart is a dynamic meetup series designed to support people at the very start of their tech journey, whether you're a career switcher, bootcamp grad, recent graduate, or simply tech-curious. Led by Dan Wallman of TechNative Digital and proudly supported by Silicon Brighton, the events are free, inclusive, and packed with practical insight.
Each event explores a different tech theme, from web development and cyber security to data analytics and UX design, through inspiring talks, interactive panels, and hands-on activities. You'll hear real-life stories from industry professionals, gain insight into tech careers, and connect with a supportive community of learners, mentors, and employers.
Events run regularly in Brighton with in-person sessions, live webcasts, and pizza-fuelled networking!
